Troubleshooting
Connection refused
Section titled “Connection refused”Check that AstralOverlay is running and Notification API is enabled. WebSocket uses port 42070; UDP uses 42069. The API listens only on the local computer.
If XSOverlay or another process owns the port, stop that listener and restart the notification API or AstralOverlay.
WebSocket connects poorly or is rejected
Section titled “WebSocket connects poorly or is rejected”Include a nonempty client query parameter. Use ws://127.0.0.1:42070/?client=YourApp, not the documentation website address.

Section titled “Connected, but no notification appears”- Use the exact command
SendNotification. - Encode
