Getting started

AstralOverlay is a SteamVR overlay utility for bringing screens, tools, and notifications into your VR session.

Open your workspace

1. Start SteamVR and connect your headset and controllers.
2. Launch your available AstralOverlay build.
3. Bring the wrist menu into view and point at it with the other controller.
4. Use Screens to access screen actions, or Settings to adjust the utility.

Try notifications

Enable Notification API in the notification settings, then follow the WebSocket quick start. The sending application must run on the same computer as AstralOverlay.
